Packaging
We use foil barrier film with a one-way valve to keep our whole bean coffees fresh. Oxygen is the worst enemy of coffee. The foil film and one way valve protect coffee from oxygen.
Before sealing our ground coffee bags, we replace the oxygen in the bag with nitrogen. This way the coffee will remain fresh until the package is opened.
Not all coffee companies use foil film, one-way valves, or flush their coffee with nitrogen. The result is stale old coffee.
